The AVIDE Mentoring Network connects experienced individuals with those who need a companion on their journey of studying, working, and integrating into Denmark. This is how the association transforms the two words Mutual Support and Development in its mission statement into concrete actions; a member can be both a mentor in one field and a mentee in another.
How Does the Program Work?
- Mentees describe their needs via the form below; mentors register the areas in which they can provide support.
- The Coordination Committee matches pairs based on expertise, goals, and availability.
- Both parties receive an introductory email with a Mentoring Agreement and a three-step guide for the first meeting; communication takes place via AVIDE’s Teams channel.
- Mentoring sessions occur every 2-4 weeks for 3-6 months, concluding upon achievement of goals.

Tôi là một nhà khoa học dữ liệu cấp cao và chuyên gia tin sinh học với hơn 15 năm kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực Trí tuệ Nhân tạo, Dữ liệu lớn và Di truyền học Lâm sàng. Hiện tại, tôi đang làm việc tại Novo Nordisk, tập trung vào khoa học dữ liệu thử nghiệm lâm sàng và tuân thủ các tiêu chuẩn FDA/EMA. Official participation is for AVIDE members: log in as a member, or register. Experts signing up as mentors are exempt from the membership fee (0 kr), including outside Denmark. You can still fill in and submit your information in advance as a preflight survey; the coordinators connect you once your membership is in place.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a fee to participate?
No. The mentoring program is volunteer work by AVIDE members and completely free. If it has been valuable, you can show your gratitude with a voluntary contribution to the association fund (the support page); everything goes to the fund, mentors receive no pay.
I am not an AVIDE member yet. Can I join?
The mentoring program is an AVIDE member benefit, for both mentors and mentees. Register as a member first; once approved you can join right away.
How long does each mentoring pair last?
Typically 3-6 months, with meetings every 2-4 weeks, as mutually agreed upon by both parties.
Is the information I share kept confidential?
Your mentor application form is only visible to the coordinating committee and your matched mentor; it is never made public. Data is anonymized according to the Association's data retention policy.
How do mentors and mentees communicate?
The Association recommends using AVIDE's MS Teams channel for secure messaging, video calls, and document sharing all in one place. Email and phone communication can be mutually agreed upon by both parties.
What if the match is not a good fit?
Please inform the coordinating committee via [email protected]; we will close the current pairing and find a more suitable solution. All concerns are listened to discreetly.
