Embodying the spirit of mutual support and solidarity, where the fortunate help the less fortunate, the Association of Vietnamese Professionals and Intellectuals in Denmark (AVIDE), in collaboration with the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), recently successfully organized the program “Culinary Event to Mitigate the Aftermath of Typhoon Yagi” at The Vietnamese Restaurant – Copenhagen, with the enthusiastic support and participation of the Vietnamese community in Denmark as well as international friends.

This was the second fundraising event organized by AVIDE to implement projects mitigating the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam. With its noble humanitarian purpose, the program received a warm response from the community, with all tickets selling out within 24 hours of information being posted on media channels. Through this program, the entire profit remaining after deducting all expenses, totaling 5,873 DKK, will be donated to help Vietnamese compatriots overcome difficulties after the natural disaster.

Additionally, Professor Đặng Dương Bằng made a significant contribution to the program’s success by donating 07 of his artworks for auction. Following lively bidding sessions from attendees, all 07 artworks were sold, raising an additional 23,200 DKK for the program.
The total amount of 29,073 DKK, collected from the culinary profits and art auction of this second fundraising round, will be transferred to VOV to support reconstruction efforts for residents in typhoon-affected areas. VOV is a reputable agency with reporters who conduct on-the-ground investigations, grasp the real situation, and have extensive experience in fundraising and supporting typhoon and flood disaster relief for many years.
