In the journey of living, studying, and working abroad, we don’t always have enough information, connections, or confidence to make important decisions. Sometimes, a timely conversation with someone who has experienced similar challenges can help us see the path ahead more clearly, avoid unnecessary mistakes, and gain more motivation to continue developing.
Stemming from this need, the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals and Professionals in Denmark (AVIDE) is pleased to introduce AVIDE Mentoring Program β an opportunity for community members to connect, share, and support each other on their journey of studying, researching, and career development in Denmark (and internationally) π€π»π³π©π°. The AVIDE Mentoring Program is designed to connect experienced individuals (Mentors) with those seeking guidance and development support (Mentees). The program aims to share knowledge, practical experience, and foster a mutually supportive community within the AVIDE network. π±π»π³π©π°
π― 1) Program Objectives

Connect Mentors β Mentees based on suitable expertise, goals, and context.

Support career and academic guidance, cultural integration, skill development, and social network expansion.

Promote a spirit of sharing, community contribution, and the dissemination of knowledge within AVIDE. π
π₯ 2) Who Should Participate?
πββοΈπββοΈ For Mentees (those seeking a mentor)
π You want a companion for career/life/cultural/academic guidance.
π You need feedback on your CV/portfolio, interview preparation, or career transition plans.
π You want to upgrade professional/soft skills, or develop personal projects. π
π§βπ«π©βπ« For Mentors (those willing to support)
π‘ You have experience and wish to share and mentor the next generation.
π‘ You are interested in community activities and contributing to the AVIDE professional network.
π‘ You want to create a positive impact through consulting, guidance, or capacity building support. πβ€οΈ
π 3) How It Works
1οΈβ£ Register using the form for Mentors or Mentees.
2οΈβ£ The coordinating committee reviews information and matches pairs based on objectives, expertise, availability, and compatibility. π§©
3οΈβ£ Both parties make an initial connection to agree on expectations, meeting frequency, and working methods. π
4οΈβ£ Follow-up support (as needed) to ensure an effective mentoring experience for both parties. β
π§ 4) Participation Principles
π€ Mutual respect, punctuality, and open β constructive communication.
π Confidentiality of personal information and mentoring content (unless both parties agree to share).
π Adherence to the AVIDE Charter and the general operating principles of the Association.
π³ 5) Program Participation Fees
To support the costs of coordination, data management, MentorβMentee matching, and program operation, AVIDE applies a symbolic registration fee for Mentees.
πΉ Mentors: participate free of charge and may receive an allowance from AVIDE. Additionally, Mentors participating in the program will have the opportunity for deeper connection with AVIDE’s network of professionals, intellectuals, and the community.
πΉ Mentees: the registration fee is 300 DKK/person/program. In cases of financial hardship, Mentees are kindly requested to contact the Coordinating Committee via email at [email protected] for support consideration.
This fee is not intended to commercialize mentoring activities but rather to foster commitment from participants and support AVIDE in maintaining the program in a serious, sustainable, and more effective manner. π±
