Siemens Energy is looking for a structural calculation engineer for Gas Services in Finspång, working daily with designers on onshore and offshore energy solutions.
The role
- Analyse and evaluate finite element models for static capacity, stiffness, stability and fatigue of structures.
- Develop cost-effective solutions with a team of experienced engineers.
- Create and maintain scripts in Python and MATLAB to streamline processes.
- Deliver results as technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering, structural engineering or a related field, with a focus on structural analysis and strength (required).
- Experience with the finite element method and simulation models; hands-on experience with tools such as Abaqus, HyperWorks, Ansa or Ansys is essential; MATLAB and/or Python is a bonus.
- Good communication with internal teams and customers; fluent English, written and spoken. The ad is in English and states no Swedish requirement.
