DTU Compute, at the Technical University of Denmark’s Kgs. Lyngby campus, is recruiting a tenure-track assistant professor or an associate professor in high-performance computing (HPC) for its Embedded Systems Engineering section. The role suits a researcher in computer architecture, operating systems or compilers who wants to build a research program touching post-exascale HPC, energy-efficient computing, or the integration of HPC and quantum computing.
The role
- Publish high-quality research in leading journals and conferences
- Attract competitive research funding in Denmark and Europe, including through DTU’s EU-funded projects such as EuroQHPC-I
- Teach and develop courses in parallel computer systems, parallel programming and HPC, and supervise BSc, MSc and PhD students
- Build a strong research environment within the section and with external partners
- Represent the section and DTU Compute in international projects, networks and academic committees
Requirements
- A PhD degree (or equivalent); associate professor applicants also need qualifications equivalent to an assistant professorship plus documented didactic and pedagogic training
- Research experience in computer architecture, operating systems or compilers; experience with quantum computing software stacks or hybrid HPC-quantum systems is an advantage
- Fluency in Danish or English, with a commitment to becoming proficient in both over time, since teaching responsibility is required
