Recently, the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City organized an “International seminar on the role of the community of overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs and intellectuals in the development of Ho Chi Minh City.”

Attending the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien – Senior Biomedical Expert, Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese Experts and Intellectuals in Denmark, proposed solutions to attract medical talent for the development of Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, there is a need to establish an HCMC Medical Network/Task Force. With this Task Force, HCMC can begin by compiling a list of skilled Vietnamese medical experts, scientists, and doctors working in hospitals and universities worldwide and domestically. The network will foster connections and implement policies to attract this high-quality medical workforce to participate in consulting and addressing the city’s requirements and aspirations through flexible cooperation and support methods such as online platforms and workshops.
