Novo Nordisk A/S is recruiting a Principal ADME Scientist for its Development ADME department in Maloev, near Copenhagen. The role suits an experienced ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion) scientist with drug-drug interaction (DDI) expertise who wants a permanent, senior position in a global pharmaceutical R&D organization.

The role

  • Evaluate ADME and DDI risks and strategy from late-stage discovery through non-clinical and clinical development to regulatory submission
  • Design, conduct and interpret in vitro and in vivo studies across modalities (small molecules, peptides and biologics), in-house and with contract research organisations
  • Provide written input to regulatory documents such as IB, IND, IMPD, BLA and NDA
  • Champion new scientific initiatives by reviewing literature and technological advances in the field
  • Communicate complex scientific data and recommendations to stakeholders with varied scientific backgrounds

Requirements

  • PhD preferred, or a master’s degree in pharmaceutical or medical sciences or an equivalent field
  • Several years of relevant experience in ADME, ideally including DDI, in pharmaceutical or biotech drug development
  • Solid experience with bioanalytical and mass spectrometric methods for characterizing and quantifying drug candidates and metabolites
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate results from in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo ADME and DDI studies
  • Experience with due diligence evaluation within ADME and DDI is an advantage
