The Department of Pharmacy at the University of Oslo is hiring a full-time, permanent Associate Professor in Pharmacoepidemiology and Health Data Analytics, affiliated with the Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety (PharmaSafe) research group. The role
- Conduct and lead internationally competitive research in pharmacoepidemiology, health data analytics, and machine learning for real-world evidence generation
- Develop and apply innovative methods for analysing large-scale healthcare data
- Initiate, lead, and contribute to externally funded national and international research projects
- Teach and supervise students at bachelor, master, PhD, and postdoctoral level
- Contribute to the UiO:Real-World Evidence (UiO:RWE) convergence environment and the EPINOR research school
- Strengthen collaboration with healthcare services, regulators, and industry
Requirements
- PhD in pharmacoepidemiology, epidemiology, health data science, biostatistics, or a closely related field
- Master’s degree in pharmacy, medicine, public health, or pharmacoepidemiology or equivalent
- "A strong and consistent scientific track record, with publications in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals"
- Documented ability, or clear potential, to attract external research funding
- Minimum 200 hours of pedagogical training, or willingness to complete it within two years; Scandinavian language proficiency at B2 within three years if not already held

Salary and deadline
